MM40WR Mission Module

 This expansion module is easily attached to the RF40 transceiver or VA40 amplifier (forming one mechanical unit) and it includes a separate transceiver using the WaveRelay technology. It is offered in several frequency band versions, primarily in L-band and S-band. In addition to the necessary connectors for connection to the transceiver/amplifier, it is equipped with a standard TNC antenna connector and U-229/U type connector for audio accessories.

Combining RF40 and Mission Module results in a full-flanged two-channel transceiver for narrowband and wideband communication in VHF/UHF bands and broadband communication in L-band and S-band.

It is designed to upload operation data to the RF40 transceiver. The fillgun is structurally designed as a small compact unit equipped with a transceiver connector, a PC connector, a data erasure button and a signaling LED.

Battery packs

Battery packs

The radio system includes a wide range of power solutions. Supplied LiIon battery packs vary in dimensions and capacities. Both are equipped with charge status indicators. Both can be charged in the 8-position stationary charger, built in a durable plastic case. The robust 2-position charger supporting 12V and 24V installations is designed for vehicles. A simple personal charger is also available.

Because the transceiver has a wide power range, it can work with the battery packs of different nominal voltages by other manufacturers. Therefore the AN/PRC-148 (MBITR) transceiver battery adapter is available.

Audio accessories

Audio accessories

RF40 and RF23 transceivers have the same U-229/U type audio connector. Therefore, they can use the same audio accessories.

Depending on the terms of deployment, you can choose between audio accessories that offer only elementary functions (radio channel listening, keying and voice modulation), or you can use the device with a much wider variety of options (tone signalling transmission, operating channel switching, changing received signal volume, squelch disabling, whisper mode activation, turn on/off the backlight, display current operating parameters on the LCD).
