MESIT Made a Strong Impression at IDET 2025 with New Headset and Live Tactical Communication Demos
From May 28 to 30, 2025, the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair (IDET) took place in Brno. At the joint OMNIPOL Group booth, MESIT publicly unveiled the new M20 headset for the first time and also showcased its tactical communication systems and a wide range of engineering activites.
One of the biggest draws for visitors were the live demonstrations of MESIT’s communication systems - including radios, intercoms, public address system, and headset - which attendees could test out on the spot. These hands-on demos attracted both industry professionals and the general public. MESIT also entered the prestigious Golden IDET competition with the M20 headset. Although the new product didn’t bring home the top award, it received strong positive feedback from experts and media alike.
Visitors to the fair had the opportunity to explore the technologies and products of other companies that are part of the OMNIPOL Group. ERA presented its passive radar systems, Aircraft Industries displayed the L-410 NG aircraft, and Aero Vodochody showcased its Skyfox subsonic aircraft. A key highlight of the event was the signing of a joint venture agreement between the OMNIPOL Group and Canadian company Roshel. As a part of the ceremony, the multi-purpose armored vehicle Senator was introduced and personally inspected by none other than the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel.
This year’s IDET fair was one of the most successful to date, drawing more than 30,000 visitors, including international delegations from 35 countries around the world.
